January 2020
Gary Raines, gave a very informative presentation on what to look for in your hive for the months of January, February and March. Between now and March a lot of hives are lost due to starvation. Walk through your bee yard and take notes of the activity in the colony. Depending on the weather it is critical to open the hive and observe the food stores, evaluate the queen, and monitor brood.
Gilbert Elementary was given a grant to keep a bee observation in the hydro-phonics lab.
Georgia Beekeeper Association's Spring Conference Feb 21st.
